Here's a tip I discovered by accident!

Those of you who use programmable electronic pumps, such as Pumptoy's QS-7 and/or CTC Company's DigiPump 4000 are in for a treat.

BACKGROUND
Late last year I picked up a bunch of male connectors from CPC company and turned out to be the wrong one (see pic).

The male connectors I was looking for was the standard one that fits in any Dr Joel Kaplan, CTC, Pumptoy, Boston Pumpworks and Vacutech cylinder...you know the one that fits into the white female connector. Does not have the valve stem in the middle.

Well anyways, CPC sent me this interesting looking male connector (see pic). It does fit the cylinders but what is different about them is that it keeps pressure from escaping when it is not plugged into a cylinder. Again, the ones you normally see for pumping does not have that little valve stem in the opening.

SO HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED TO ME
Well, the other day, I was penis pumping with my CTC Comapnay DigiPump 4000 when I decided to answer the phone (across the room). I disconnected the hose from the cylinder and to my worst fears, the DigiPump 4000 vacuum motor started pumping non-stop. Of course, this noise was not desirable for my caller...mild panic struck in and I ran out in the living room, windows wide open, escaping the sound so my caller did not question me, "what's that sound?"

Here's what went down...me naked, cylinder attached, on the phone, standing "deer in the headlights" look, in front of a large sliding glass door in full view of my neighbors (apartment complex staring in about 35 yards away). OH BOY...

QS7 & DIGIPUMP TECHNICAL DETAILS
Those of you who do not own one of these programmable pumps might not know what the heck I'm talking about Let me explain. The line of programmable pumps work this way -- you program in any pumping profile you want, be it pulsating, ramp up, ramp down, etc. You control the entire pump session by time, and by pressure. Once programmed in, you simply press the start button and the pump does the rest. The pump, wheter it is a QS-7 or Digipump, will create vacuum or release vacuum based on your settings.

What happens when you disconnect your cylinder is this: The programmable pump reads 0HG at the vacuum port. The pump then sends power to the vacuum pump (inside the unit) and runs until it reads the desired pressure, whatever I set it at at the time. Because the hose is open on one end (disconnected from the cylinder), the vacuum port sensor read 0HG (no vacuum), therefore running the vacuum pump continuously until I either put my finger on the vacuum hose, reattached the cylinder, or shut downt the machine.

Hope this all makes sense so far.

So here it is....drumroll.....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

SOLULTION - MODIFY YOUR QS-7 and/or DIGIPUMP 4000

> Cut off one male connector, the side that you intend to snap into the penis, penis/scrotum cylinder, and stick in the male connector that has the valve stem in it (see pic).

This new male connector will hold the pressure back when you disconnect "it" from the "cylinder." The result? The programmable pump will pump happily away to your pumping profile as if the cylinder was still attached.

Cool yeah?

This solves the following problems:
* Minimize overrunning the vacuum pump inside the QS-7 and Digipump, thus increasing its life. Note, these pumps are designed to last a very long time, but why not make them last longer

AND

* Make it a stress-free environment when outside interferance requires you to disconnect midway-through.

Some things I noticed about this modification is when you disconnect, the hose shoots out of the cylinder. Teamed with the coiling of the extra long vacuum hose, my hose once jumped out of the female connector and landed several feet from me.

I'm assuming this is because as soon as you disconnect, there is a subtle pressure difference from the hose and the cylinder cause when the valve stem closes. I'm no engineer but this is the only reason I could come up with.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this tip. I've got only a few more of these connectors left (probably about 8 or so). Let me know if you'd like one.

Heres a pic of it.

Seems you know alot about this, exactly which connector is the "standard" one? Most sites you need measurements and such to order the correct one.

The connector that I'm referring to is the male connector as seen in the picture above. What I think you are referring to is the penis cylinder size. These are two totally different components. Screwed into the penis cylinder is a female quick disconnect connector. The male connector, which is totally separate from the penis cylinder and female connector, fits onto the hose which attaches to the handpump. When you want to draw air out of the cylinder, you snap the male connector into the female connector and start pumping.

Clear as mud right?

Let me know if I can explain more.

Thanks,
