Kaplan Pump Question

My Kaplan hand pump seems to not be keeping the pressure like it did when I first started using it. There doesn't appear to be any malfunction so I'm hoping its something with the connections or tubing. Anyone have any thoughts? The basic problem is that it just doesn't keep the pressure like I first experienced. I bought a new cylinder recently that I'm able to easily pack unlike some of my larger ones; it is 1.75". Despite using it and packing it the pressure can still be rather unstable. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks kern; where would one get one of those? I've seen a MityVac kit that sounds similar.

Hi, Sealey automotive products make a brake bleeding kit with a brass pump. I got one in the UK for £35-00, will be much cheaper in the States. Bionic

Thanks for the help guys. I went by a local Pep Boys and asked to see their bleeding kits. Both were by companies I had never heard of; but inside one was no less than a MityVac hand pump. The whole kit was roughly US $30. I was pleased. I used the pump and found it was better than the Kaplan one; but I also found that part of my problem was the tubing/ and or connectors. I changed out the ones I had been using with a pair from another pump I own and everything worked perfectly. Does anyone know if you can get the kind of male/female connectors on a Kaplan at an Ace Hardware or Home Depot?
